Join me on my journey as I embrace life after ‘work’ in a beautiful part of the world:  Byron Bay, Australia. With time at my disposal,  I hope to explore new places, sharing my discoveries and wonder at this wonderful world of ours  with you.

I want to immerse myself in Byron’s  familiar landscape  and in doing so, perhaps provide newcomers to this part of the world with a local perspective that will make their visit to this area more memorable.

I would like to master new skills and refine old skills,  immersing myself in all things culinary and cultural. Given that my skill set at present is rudimentary, this could prove interesting  but hopefully entertaining.

I can’t wait to challenge myself physically, whether it be hiking, golfing, tennis or swimming. I can visualise a new accomplished me: travel writer, gourmet cook, crafter extraordinaire, fitness guru …   but will it happen?  Umm …  a to do list!  Or will it become a to don’t list?  I’m looking forward to finding out.

    1. Thank you so much! But what exactly is the Liebster award? I don’t think I’ve won or been awarded anything since I won my age swimming championship at school and I only won that because the other girls couldn’t do butterfly or swim further than 50 meters.🐋

      1. Basically, it is an online encouragement award for new bloggers or those with less than 200 followers. Have a read of my link and then google it and hopefully all will become clear! I think the nomination is the award! I found the whole process to be a lot of fun, even though it took a bit of time! The hardest bit was finding new nominees, but you do discover a lot of wonderful blogs along the way, as well as new blogging friends, and it certainly increases your exposure! So, I look forward to reading your responses!
